Der Schienenverkehr in diesem Gebiet wird laut Prognosen in den kommenden Jahren weiterhin zunehmen.&nbsp;Betroffen sind insbesondere die Riedbahn (Frankfurt\u2013Biblis\u2013Mannheim) und die Main-Neckar-Bahn (Frankfurt\u2013Darmstadt\u2013Heidelberg). Die bestehenden Bahnstrecken sind hier bereits vollst\u00e4ndig ausgelastet.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-dbec-core-layout-column  column is-6-small is-6-medium column--expanded\"><div class=\"layout-column\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-dbec-core-layout-text  wp-block-dbec-core-layout-text--expanded\"><div class=\"layout-column layout-column--text\">\n<p>Zwischen Frankfurt und Mannheim wird daher unter dem Projektnamen \u201eNeubaustrecke Frankfurt\u2013Mannheim\u201c eine neue zweigleisige Bahnstrecke geplant. Sie wurde als Teil des \u201eKorridors Mittelrhein Zielnetz I\u201c als einer der wichtigsten Projekte im Rahmen des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmvi.de\/DE\/Themen\/Mobilitaet\/Infrastrukturplanung-Investitionen\/Bundesverkehrswegeplan-2030\/bundesverkehrswegeplan-2030.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bundesverkehrswegeplans 2030<\/a> definiert und stellt einen L\u00fcckenschluss im deutschen und europ\u00e4ischen Schienenverkehrsnetz dar.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-dbec-core-layout-grid  layout-grid layout-grid--outer-margin-small layout-grid--expanded\"><div class=\"grid grid--child-margin-none\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-dbec-core-layout-column  column is-6-small is-6-medium column--expanded\"><div class=\"layout-column\">\n<p>Dabei nimmt der Abschnitt eine wichtige Doppelrolle ein. F\u00fcr den Hochgeschwindigkeitsverkehr verbindet sie die Schnellfahrstrecken K\u00f6ln \u2013 Rhein\/Main und Mannheim \u2013Stuttgart. Die n\u00e4chtliche Lenkung des G\u00fcterverkehrs auf die Neubaustrecke macht sie zu einem Teil des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bundesnetzagentur.de\/DE\/Fachthemen\/Eisenbahnen\/Internationales\/Korridore\/Korridor1\/RheinAlpenKorridor-node.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EU-Korridor Rhine-Alpine<\/a>, einer der Hauptverkehrsachsen Europas und f\u00fchrt zu einer L\u00e4rmentlastung der Kommunen entlang der Bestandsstrecke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading headline-h3\">Planungsleistungen mit dem Einsatz von der BIM-Methodik<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Projektauftrag beinhaltet die Grundlagenermittlung, Vorplanung, Entwurfsplanung und Genehmigungsplanung der Leit- und Sicherungstechnik (Stellwerke, ETCS und Bahn\u00fcbergangssicherungsanlagen) und Oberleitungsanlagen. In Teilabschnitten erfolgt die Planung in der <a href=\"https:\/\/db-engineering-consulting.com\/de\/insights\/bim-building-information-modeling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BIM-Methodik<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Neubaustrecke und eine weitere Bestandsstrecke im Bereich der Nordanbindung Darmstadt sollen mit digitaler Stellwerkstechnik ausger\u00fcstet werden. An Streckenanfang und -ende werden bereits vorhandene elektronische Stellwerke angepasst. Des Weiteren wird das Relaisstellwerk in Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof f\u00fcr die S\u00fcdanbindung erweitert. Die Neubaustrecke soll k\u00fcnftig das European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 erhalten und die vorhandene ETCS-Bestandsausr\u00fcstung in den Verkn\u00fcpfungsbereichen soll angepasst werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diese Ma\u00dfnahmen sollen k\u00fcnftig Geschwindigkeiten von bis zu 300 Kilometer pro Stunde erlauben und effektiv zu einer Verk\u00fcrzung der Fahrzeit zwischen Frankfurt und Mannheim beitragen. Die geplanten Fernverkehrsverbindungen zwischen den beiden St\u00e4dten sollen sich dadurch zuk\u00fcnftig verdoppeln.
