Due to the constantly growing population and increasing mobility requirements, the local transport is reaching its capacity limits.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 2028, the Western bypass line will supplement the urban and regional transport network for almost 6\u202fmillion people in the Rhine-Main region, in particular by improving transport links to the western districts of Frankfurt am Main and Frankfurt Airport. As a key project for improving the light rail infrastructure, it aims to optimize regional accessibility and minimize transfer processes in Frankfurt.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A key part of the project is the South 1 line section, which extends 16.5\u202fkilometers from Kelsterbach to Dreieich-Buchschlag. South\u202f1 will feature 17 bridges and 6 stops, which will play a crucial role in improving public transportation in the region.\u202f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The complex project requires close collaboration between various stakeholders. Since 2009, together with our partner companies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schuessler-plan.de\/en\/index.html\">Sch\u00fc\u00dfler-Plan<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swecogroup.com\/\">Sweco<\/a>, we have been significantly involved in the <a href=\"https:\/\/db-engineering-consulting.com\/en\/productportfolio\/design\/\">design<\/a>, as-built surveying, <a href=\"https:\/\/db-engineering-consulting.com\/en\/productportfolio\/environmental-and-geo-services\/#environmental-planning\">environmental planning<\/a> and <a style=\"font-size: revert; display: inline !important;\" href=\"https:\/\/db-engineering-consulting.com\/en\/productportfolio\/environmental-and-geo-services\/#geotechnical-engineering\">geotechnical consulting<\/a> for the entire line. In addition, <a href=\"https:\/\/db-engineering-consulting.com\/en\/productportfolio\/construction-supervision\/\">construction supervision<\/a> is carried out for various sections of the route infrastructure to ensure a smooth construction process and compliance with the high quality standards.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-dbec-core-layout-grid  layout-grid layout-grid--outer-margin-small layout-grid--expanded\"><div class=\"grid grid--child-margin-small\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-dbec-core-layout-column  column is-6-small is-6-medium column--expanded\"><div class=\"layout-column\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-dbec-core-layout-text  wp-block-dbec-core-layout-text--expanded\"><div class=\"layout-column layout-column--text\">\n<p>A large number of different services are required to realize this infrastructure project, including the construction of new track systems, platform facilities and nonbuilding structures at various locations along the route, such as Frankfurt-Stadium station, M\u00f6rfelder Landstra\u00dfe and Neu-Isenburg station. On top of that, an impressive tied-arch bridge was installed in May 2024.
