We at DB Engineering &amp; Consulting are making our contribution in numerous projects, some of which we would like to present to you below:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-dbec-core-layout-grid  layout-grid layout-grid--outer-margin-small layout-grid--expanded\"><div class=\"grid grid--child-margin-small\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-dbec-core-layout-column  column is-6-small is-6-medium column--expanded\"><div class=\"layout-column\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading headline-h3\"><strong>Electrical overhead line for Upper Bavaria<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The line from <a href=\"https:\/\/db-engineering-consulting.com\/en\/projects\/abs-38-munich-freilassing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Munich to Freilassing via M\u00fchldorf<\/a> forms part of the M\u00fchldorf &#8220;line star&#8221;, also designated upgraded line 38. Equipping with an electrical overhead line is planned along 145 kilometers of track for the non-electrified and mainly single-track sections Between Markt Schwaben and Ampfing as well as T\u00fcssling and Freilassing, the line will be upgraded to double-tracking over a total of 103 kilometers. When services commence, vehicles will be able to travel with a top-line speed of 200 kilometers per hour. To enable shorter headways, there will also be more blocks and the control-command and signaling systems will be modernized. The European Train Control System (ETCS) will be used as a standard. Upgrading accessibility at the 19 stations and stops concerned will create more attractive options in terms of access and transfer. In connection with the speed increase, a total of 166 bridges and 23 railroad crossings will be built or refurbished. It will be electrified as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/db-engineering-consulting.com\/en\/news\/transport-corridor-from-rotterdam-to-helsinki\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Southern Eastern Corridor <\/a>project. Electrification is expected to improve operating quality and increase capacity. The aims of the project are to relieve congestion on the existing main feeder lines with a large-scale shift of rail freight traffic heading for Austria to the Eastern Corridor and to improve the utilization of existing tracks by making more efficient use of the Eastern Corridor. A strong increase in rail freight transport is expected as a result of the opening of the <a href=\"https:\/\/db-engineering-consulting.com\/en\/projects\/northern-brenner-feeder-line-a-bim-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brenner Base Tunnel<\/a>. A four-track upgrade has been agreed on an international basis. The line speed is to be 230 km\/h. The elimination of steep gradients represents an enormous benefit to rail freight transport It will make the line more economical and more competitive compared to the road, which is currently characterized by miles of traffic jams. 2.8 million truck transits rolled over the Brenner Highway in 2019. The Munich S-Bahn carries around 840,000 passengers a day, making it one of the largest S-Bahn systems in Germany, and it is now reaching the limits of its capacity. In order to relieve the strain on the line, a 2nd core route is being built over a distance of around ten kilometers between Laim Station in the west and Leuchtenbergring Station in the east.
