DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH (DB E&C) has achieved a major milestone towards its growth in the UK and Ireland, winning its first contract with Britain’s rail infrastructure manager, Network Rail.
DB E&C has been appointed to Network Rail’s Design Services Framework (DSF). The DSF, which went live on January 1st, is split into multidiscipline and specialist single-discipline lots, covering four different geographic regions across England, Scotland and Wales. DB E&C is one of 34 suppliers to be appointed to the framework, which is valued at an estimated £640 million between 2020 and 2029.
DB E&C will be working with London-based telecommunications specialists Fourway and project management consultants CPC Project Services LLP (CPC) on the telecommunications lot for the South East region.
Christian Hünefeld, DB E&C’s UK & Ireland Director, said: “We’re really pleased to be working with Network Rail on the DSF and are excited to have the opportunity to apply the specialist engineering expertise from each of our respective organisations to improve the experience for rail passengers in the South East of England.”
