Upgraded line between Angermuende and Szczecin
The upgraded line between Angermuende and the German-Polish border is of great significance for European rail transport. The section between Passow and the German-Polish border is 30 km long. This section will also be double-tracked, electrified throughout and the line speed increased from 120 km/h to 160 km/h.
The project will include modernization of five stations and the renewal of railroad installations. The entire line will be equipped with the European Train Control System (ETCS) – Level 2 to increase reliability and safety.

Planning approval section 1:
- The goal is to increase speed to 160 km/h
- Renewal of permanent way
- Renewal of overhead line
- Renewal of underground cable installation
- Adjustment of control-command and signaling
- Renewal of 4 railroad overpasses
- Replacement of an overpass with new structure
- Construction of an electronic interlocking outdoor unit near Schoenermark
- Construction of noise barriers in the area of Angermuende station
Planning approval section 2:
- The goal is continuous double-tracking and electrification as well as increasing speed to 160 km/h
- Renewal of permanent way
- Construction of new overhead line
- Renewal of underground cable installation
- Adjustment of control-command and signaling
- Replacement of 2 railroad overpass with new structures
- Construction of noise barriers in the local area of Casekow, Petershagen and Tantow
- Preparation of environmental impact assessment, environmental impact mitigation plan, Natura 2000 expert opinion and expert opinion on wildlife conservation
